We are honored to introduce Jen, founder of Serenity Therapeutic Counseling & Addiction Services, as well as After the Rain. As a licensed clinical social worker, Jen brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a deep, personal commitment to our mission of promoting mental wellness and supporting individuals and families affected by addiction.

With a career focused on guiding people through complex emotional challenges—particularly in the areas of adolescent substance use, adoption, and family dynamics—Jen’s work is rooted in empathy, relational healing, and the unwavering belief that no one should face mental health struggles alone. Her expertise in trauma, behavioral health, and recovery not only enriches our organization’s approach, but also strengthens the impact of the services we provide to the community.

Vittoria Iwuagwu, Widow, Grief Coach, Psych Major

Board of Director

Vitt brings a unique blend of professional insight and personal resilience to her role on the board, informed by both academic training and lived experience. Her commitment to compassionate, community-based support systems is rooted in her own journey through profound loss.

Following the death of her husband, Vitt experienced the deep isolation and emotional disorientation that often accompany grief. That experience became the foundation of her mission: to ensure that no one has to navigate loss alone. She quickly recognized how essential it is to create spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported as they process grief in their own way.

Vitt approaches this work with both empathy and practicality, offering tools and perspectives that acknowledge grief not as something to "get over," but as something we learn to carry and grow through. Her personal journey, combined with her commitment to service, makes her a powerful advocate for inclusive, trauma-informed support networks. Vitt is honored to contribute her voice and vision to the board, working alongside fellow members to advance the organization’s mission of healing, connection, and resilience.
